Last Updated: December 2024

Introduction

This document sets out the tax strategy of Offset Britain Ltd for the year ending December 2024. It is published in accordance with paragraph 16(2) of Schedule 19 of the Finance Act 2016.

Our Approach to Tax

Offset Britain is committed to full compliance with all statutory obligations and full disclosure to relevant tax authorities. We regard the payment of tax as part of our wider corporate responsibility and are committed to:

• Paying the right amount of tax in the right place at the right time

• Maintaining an open and transparent relationship with HMRC

• Ensuring our tax affairs are managed in a way consistent with our values

• Not engaging in aggressive tax planning or artificial arrangements

Tax Governance

The Board has overall responsibility for our tax strategy. Day-to-day management of tax affairs is delegated to the Finance Director, who ensures appropriate policies and procedures are in place. External tax advisers are engaged where necessary to ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations.

Tax Risk Management

We maintain robust processes to identify and manage tax risks. These include:

• Regular review of tax compliance processes

• Training for relevant staff on tax matters

• Engagement with professional advisers on complex issues

• Clear documentation of tax positions and decisions

Relationship with HMRC

We are committed to maintaining an open and constructive relationship with HMRC. We respond to queries promptly and accurately, disclose relevant information proactively, and seek to resolve any disputes through dialogue.

Tax Planning

While we seek to manage our tax affairs efficiently and claim reliefs and incentives where legitimately available, we do not engage in artificial tax arrangements whose main purpose is to reduce tax. Any tax planning is undertaken in the context of commercial business activities and is consistent with both the letter and spirit of the law.
