Verified carbon credits from Gold Standard, Verra & UK Woodland Carbon Code Speak to a Sustainability Officer

About Offset Britain

Offset Britain issues verified carbon offset certificates for individuals and businesses. We believe everyone should have access to transparent, independently verified carbon credits from real-world projects that reduce emissions and support communities worldwide.

Address:
Offset Britain,

Unit 53 Skylines Village, Canary Wharf, London E14 9TS, United Kingdom.

What we do

We source carbon credits from verified projects registered with internationally recognised standards. Our process is simple: we purchase verified carbon credits, retire them on behalf of our certificate holders, and issue publicly verifiable certificates.

Each certificate is assigned a unique verification ID (format: OB-XX-YYYY-XXXXXX) that can be checked through our public verification system at any time. This transparency is at the heart of what we do.

Where your money goes

We believe in transparent allocation of funds:

  • 80% - Direct investment in verified carbon projects
  • 12% - Operations, verification, and administration
  • 8% - Research, development, and business growth

Our methodology

We follow rigorous international standards for carbon credit verification and retirement:

  • Verra Verified Carbon Standard (VCS) - The world's leading voluntary carbon standard
  • Gold Standard - Projects verified for both climate and development impact
  • ISO 14064 - International greenhouse gas accounting and verification standards
  • UN Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) - Official UN carbon crediting mechanism

For a detailed overview of our verification process, see our methodology page.

Public verification

Every certificate issued by Offset Britain includes a unique, publicly verifiable ID. This means certificate holders, regulators, and the general public can verify that:

  • The certificate exists and is authentic
  • The carbon credits have been sourced from verified projects
  • The credits have been permanently retired
  • The project meets international standards

This transparency is fundamental to our approach and differentiates us from unverified offset schemes.
