What does "verified" mean?

All credits in our portfolios are verified by internationally recognised standards. International tiers use Verra Verified Carbon Standard (VCS), Gold Standard, and UNFCCC. UK tiers use the UK Woodland Carbon Code and IUCN UK Peatland Code. Each project undergoes independent third-party auditing to confirm that the stated emission reductions or removals are real, measurable, and additional.

What does "retired on your behalf" mean?

When a carbon credit is "retired," it is permanently removed from the registry so it cannot be resold or double-counted. We retire credits directly in the relevant registry in your name or your organisation's name, and provide you with the serial numbers and retirement certificate as proof.

How quickly are credits retired after purchase?

Credits are retired automatically the moment your payment clears, typically within seconds. We use our API to settle retirements in real time, so there's no waiting period or manual processing. You'll receive your retirement certificate by email immediately after retirement is confirmed on the underlying registry.

Can I use these credits for corporate reporting?

Yes. Nature-based avoidance (REDD+, cookstoves, renewable energy substitution) sits at the lower end of the global market, roughly £5 to £15 per tonne wholesale, and anchors our Standard - International tier. Nature-based removals (afforestation, reforestation, blue carbon) sit around £10 to £25 wholesale and feature in Enhanced - International. Engineered removals (biochar, enhanced weathering, direct air capture) trade above £80 to £500+ per tonne and are blended into Premium - International at a small allocation.
